I was deeply honored to be invited to the Charis and Steve Unplugged podcast on HealthyLife.net, an all-positive internet radio show, to discuss my journey with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). This opportunity allowed me to share my experiences, raise awareness about ESRD, and highlight the urgency in finding a living donor.

Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Charis Rey, Traid Fitness, and HealthyLife Radio. Your support and platform have given me a voice to speak on behalf of ESRD patients. Your dedication to positive and informative content is truly commendable, and I am grateful for the chance to contribute to your mission.

During the podcast, I was able to dispel some common myths about ESRD and the kidney transplant process. Many people are unaware of the paired donor process, also known as the paired exchange or voucher program. This innovative approach allows donors who are incompatible with their intended recipient to still help their loved one receive a kidney. In this program, an incompatible donor can donate a kidney to a stranger who has a compatible recipient, and in return, their loved one receives a compatible kidney from another stranger. It’s a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving that increases the chances of finding a match and ultimately saves lives.

Sharing my journey with ESRD on Charis and Steve Unplugged was a powerful experience. I spoke about the challenges I face, the importance of finding a living donor, and how the paired donor process offers hope to those waiting for a transplant. It's essential for people to understand that becoming a living donor can be a straightforward and incredibly rewarding process.

I hope you enjoyed the show and found it informative. If you missed the live broadcast, you can listen on demand here: Charis and Steve Unplugged HealthyLife.Net Radio Show Archive. Your support and interest in this topic mean the world to me and to all those affected by ESRD.

Thank you once again to Charis Rey, Traid Fitness, and HealthyLife Radio for giving me this incredible opportunity. Together, we can continue to spread awareness and hope for all ESRD patients.
